T-Mobile and Hair Cuttery On Palm Coast Parkway Targeted By Smash-And-Grab Burglars

A surveillance still from the burglary a the T-Mobil store.

The alert came in about an issue at the T-Mobile store at 250 Palm Coast Parkway just after 2 a.m. Thursday.

When a Flagler County Sheriff’s deputy arrived, he saw the front glass door broken and items missing from the display shelves. A gray brick was on the floor inside, clearly the object used to smash the glass.

Sheriff’s units began inspecting other similar stores in town. After a T-Mobile employee reviewed the store’s surveillance video, footage indicated that at 2:15, a vehicle pulled up in front of the store, and two black males got out and stood in front of the store. One had on black shorts with a black sweater, gray and black sneakers with an orange color at the bottom. The other wore gray sweat pants, a gray hoodie and orange sneakers.

The man wearing gray is seen throwing the brick through the front-door glass. The two then enter the business and start to try and pull off their security wires the phones that were on the display shelves. They managed to detach four of the phones off their wires.

Barely two minutes after going in, they left the store with four phones. The estimated value of their heist was $775.

Less than 90 minutes later, a deputy responded to 1475 Palm Coast Pkwy, near the intersection with Belle Terre Parkway, where a similar scene was discovered at the Hair Cuttery: a shattered front-door’s glass, a mess inside.

But the lead salon coordinator who surveyed the scene determined that nothing of value appeared to have been stolen. The store had closed the evening before at 9 o’clock.

As at T-Mobile, a gray brick was used to break the window of the door. The sheriff’s Crime Scene Investigation unit processed the scene. But no suspects have been arrested in either burglaries.

It says 90 minutes later a deputy responded to a similar scene at hair cuttery. It does not say that it took them 90 minutes to get there.

And the worst customer service! Left standing mid way through getting phone as the man went to do his deliveries in the back room. Asked the woman to tell him I was still waiting and she told me “he has to do his work”. Duh. As I waited I listened to same woman selling a phone to customer- run away fast!
