A July 4 fire destroyed a cinder block storage building at the Santore and Sons fireworks manufacturing compound in West Flagler. The structure contained paper goods and partially assembled pyrotechnics. No employees were present and there were no injuries. First responders quickly extinguished the blaze. The state fire marshal is currently investigating a potential lightning strike as the cause.

Holy Cow! Three Crashes, Three Dead Cows in Three Separate Areas of West Flagler
Three vehicles, including a cop’s car, were totaled overnight in crashes with cows on three different Flagler County roads. The drivers were not hurt. Cows’ owners have yet to be identified.
Alyce Whitman, 63, Is Killed in Two-Car Collision at County Roads 304 and 305
Alyce Whitman, a 63-year-old resident of Crescent City, was killed Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of County Road 304 and County Road 305 at the southwest end of Flagler County.
