Darrell Smith, a Flagler Beach business owner and contributor to FlaglerLive (he comments here as NortonSmitty, the Mencken handle having been retired), sent in this note today, a final lap around the Flagler Beach City Commission’s final passage last week of its dog-friendly ordinance: restaurants willing to pay a modest fee and rearrange their deck chairs may welcome patrons with their dogs. Says Smitty:
“I’m sorry, I didn’t think it would go this far. Look at what I filmed at an un-named Flagler Beach restaurant yesterday. Again, my sincerest apologies.” Ours too.

They’ve got better manners than some of the patrons who frequent those “all you can eat” buffets in Palm Coast.

I love it! My dogs are not quite as neat but they have small “hands”! Thanks for making a lot of people smile!
