The City of Palm Coast’s Town Center Park will host the Color Vibe 5K – the first-ever “colorful” walk-run in Palm Coast. The Palm Coast Color Vibe 5K will be held Saturday, Jan. 30, at Central Park in Town Center, 975 Central Ave.
“Color Vibe fun runs are very popular, and we’ve been hoping to attract a color run for some time,” said Luanne Santangelo, Palm Coast Director of Parks & Recreation. “The Color Vibe 5K is expected to bring in hundreds of runners from North-Central Florida, and that will be a great economic boost to Palm Coast as these visitors enjoy our restaurants, stores, hotels and gas stations.”
Organizers of the unique event said that throughout the course, participants will run, walk or dance their way through color stations where vibrant colors tie-dye white outfits and costumes. When it’s over, everyone is invited to stay for a large, colorful dance party hosted by a professional sound crew and DJ.
“The Color Vibe 5K is full of inspirational stories of runners and non-runners alike coming together to share a life experience, accomplish fitness goals, and become rainbow junkies,” said Color Vibe Race Director Nate Sorensen.
The Palm Coast Color Vibe 5K is open to participants of all ages. The cornstarch-based colored powder used to “tie-dye” participants is safe and biodegradable and washes out easily from skin and hair. The fun run will not be timed, giving participants the opportunity to complete the course at their own pace.
“We welcome the Color Vibe and look forward to being a new canvas for them!” Santangelo said.
When the Color Vibe comes to town, it always selects a local charity to receive a portion of the proceeds. The Palm Coast Color Vibe 5K local charity is the Family Life Center, which operates the only certified domestic violence shelter in Flagler County. The center provides emergency temporary housing, crisis intervention and counseling for women and children at its 32-bed certified domestic violence shelter.

Anthony says
This run will do more damage than good.
For starters, you are not specifying what color run exactly represents. Many Americans know that sadly in today’s world rainbow represents homosexuals. This is very bad teachings at every level.
You can not create a peaceful atmosphere when doing things against our Creator’s will. People were not successful in the past and neither will they be in the present and future.
PCer says
Really? God created all of the colors – and all of the colors will be used. Just because it is a rainbow does not make it homosexual. btw – God created homosexuals too – so you are just hating on God’s creation.
confidential says
“Our Creator” is the one that created us all! Our rainbow’s are to be enjoyed as well for all without discrimination.
Lets do not used the name of the Lord in vane as tool of hate. Who are we to judge..? Even Pope Francis said it, as we are all creatures of God. Welcome to the colors of the 5K Run on January 30th.
Anthony says
Indeed you are foolish in your speech. The Creator of mankind did not create homosexuals. Men and women make their own choice to live such an abominable lifestyle. The Creator did not put a gun to their head and said be a homosexual. It’s a choice, nothing more.
As for the rainbow, yes, the Creator made it as a covenant to mankind as not to wip6 them out entirely with a flood. True Christians understand this.
Anthony says
Christ and the Holy Spirit gave mankind the right to judge. That judgment is to be a just judgment. Those who defend the sins of this world and use the word god to defend sin are the ones which use the name in vain.
PCer says
Anthony, you are a homophobic hypocrite. Jesus would be ashamed of you, but he would also forgive you for being such a homophobe.
“A new commandment I give unto you. That ye love one another, as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. ” John 13:34

This color run is going to be super amazing! I’m so excited this is coming to Palm Coast! I always thought the festival of Holi was a really beautiful way to celebrate!!
Donna Heiss says
Oh for goodness sake Anthony. The color run is pure fun. Both my girls run them everywhere. NEVER once did they associate it with any race, religion or sexual orientation. Just FUN!
It’s just a run with paint balls. Take it at face value and lighten up Anthony. Life is too short. A fun time was had by all.
