Student accommodations would be an amazing asset to the airport. A top notch flight school like Phoenix East Aviation would thrive being located so close to JAX. It would give them some distance from ERAU and keep them in proximity to the new local carriers.

As a pilot with over 3,000 hours I agree.
When used properly our local airports are great assets. A top notch flight school also provides jobs in the area. And yes help full fill distance requirements. Will be following this to see how it pans out.

Our poor local airport gets beat to death with student traffic. We really donāt see much revenue from it. They could move north and be a staple in that market.
