The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office is seeking Andrew Phillip Cherry, 22, and Lee Ann Renee Mosher, 24.

1:40 p.m. update–The two suspects from Thursday morning’s attempted home invasion in Flagler Estates have been located and taken into custody without incident with assistance from the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force.

The suspects, identified as Andrew Phillip Cherry, 22, and Lee Ann Renee Mosher, 24, both of 354 Juanita Ave. in St. Augustine, were located at a residence in the 300 block of Tirana Ave. late this morning. That location was within blocks of the Juanita Ave. home that detectives and deputies converged on Thursday evening looking for the suspects. Arrest warrants were obtained late last night on the two suspects. Cherry is wanted on a charge of attempted murder and Mosher is wanted on a charge of principal to attempted murder. Additional charges are pending further investigation.

Through the public’s assistance, Major Crimes Detectives were able to identify the two suspects from the attempted home invasion at a Flagler Estates home that occurred Thursday morning. The identities led detectives to the Juanita Ave. home early Thursday evening, however the suspects had fled the residence. The silver Ford Mustang that was allegedly used by the suspects was recovered at the residence.

Two children were also located this morning with another individual and were safe. A third child that was believed to have been with the suspects was located at another home last night with a relative. Major Crimes Unit detectives are continuing the investigation.

The earlier story is below.

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office is involved in a hunt for two suspects wanted for attempted murder and principal to attempted murder following a failed home invasion at a Flagler Estates property Thursday morning. The property is on the St. Johns County side of Flagler Estates, which straddles the county line dividing St. Johns and Flagler.

Deputies responded to a residence on Isom Ave., at 7:20 a.m. Thursday in reference to a home invasion in progress. The 55-year old victim said he was awakened by a knock on the door a short time earlier. The victim observed a woman who was requesting assistance to get her vehicle out of a ditch. When the victim walked out, a man wearing a mask was pointing a gun at him.

The victim ran back into his house as the suspect with the gun fired two shots toward the victim. The two suspects then ran from the residence and possibly fled in a silver colored Ford Mustang with a black convertible top and front end and rear bumper damage.

The two suspects were, white wearing blue long sleeve shirts and dark pants. The male suspect had dark hair with a goatee and the female had long red hair. They were subsequently identified as Andrew Phillip Cherry, 22, and Lee Ann Renee Mosher, 24, both of 354 Juanita Ave. in Flagler Beach. Arrest warrants were obtained on the two suspects. Cherry is wanted on attempted murder charges and Mosher is wanted on a charge of principal to attempted murder.

The silver Ford Mustang that was used by the suspects was recovered at the Juanita Avenue house.

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office’s assistance has not been sought so far, a Flagler sheriff’s spokesman said.

Anyone with any information concerning the whereabouts of these suspects is asked to contact Detective David Blanton at the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office at (904) 209-2193. You can also remain anonymous and possibly be eligible for a cash reward by calling CrimeStoppers of N.E. Florida at 1-(888) 277-TIPS (8477).
