16th Annual Turtle Fest

16th Annual Turtle Fest, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Flagler Beach’s Veterans Park. Turtle Fest is the Flagler/Volusia Turtle Patrol’s primary fundraiser. Each year activities include face painting, turtle races, live music, entertainment, white elephant sales, a variety of vendors and wares, local artists and crafts along with food and beverages for sale. If possible, a turtle from rehabilitation is released on the beach mid-afternoon. Educational exhibits and materials are often available from organizations such as Gamble Rogers State Park, the Marine Science Center and other environmental organizations. Information on volunteer opportunities and Turtle Nest Adoptions as well as Turtle Fest t-shirts and turtle merchandise are available. All proceeds go to the Volusia/Flagler Turtle Patrol.
