Benjamin Wytiaz, a man with a long arrest record in three other counties, startled a Hammock woman in her home as she was getting out of the bathroom, and was later arrested. He said he was looking for a place to sleep.

Paul Hillman, 44, had attacked George Carnarius, 64, calling him “the devil,” and Linda Warrell, 55, in the Shady Lane house they’d all shared until July 2015. But Warrell had urged against sending him to prison, saying–as the court agreed–that he suffers from a mental illness.

Kenneth Stancil, a 19-year-old resident of 12 Portland Place in Palm Coast, is accused of burglarizing 65-year-old Sandra Laden’s car then running her over with a Ford before fleeing a park in the Hammock Wednesday.

The Halloween party took place at the Hammock Community Center on Malacompra Road Friday night and broke up after a big fight early Saturday morning, but the victims would not speak, and most witnesses had scattered before cops were able to investigate. The investigation is ongoing.
