Without community involvement, The Hammock as we know it, will be lost.  Transformed from the natural beauty it is today into a jungle of high rise condominiums.

Daytona's barrier island has lost all of the Old Florida character that the Hammock Community Association is fighting to preserve.

Accomplishments of The Hammock Community Association

In order for us to achieve our goal of maintaining and protecting The Hammock, we need your support.  By joining together, our voice will be heard in the community and we will succeed in our goal.

Protection of 16th Road

The HCA was instrumental in educating residents about developer's plans to relocate 16th road.  As a result of our efforts the 16th Road public beach access was preserved and Hammock residents continue to enjoy the beautiful beach there.

Billboard Removal on A1A

Along with other local organizations, The HCA endorsed and promoted the plan to remove 10 billboards along scenic A1A.  The removal of the billboards helps achieve our goal of preserving the natural beauty of the Hammock.

Hammock Annexation

The HCA worked in conjunction with several organizations to educate residents of the Hammock about the City of Palm Coast's desire to annex The Hammock.  We successfully managed to gain enough support to stop the annexation.
