Aaaron Kinney of Palm Coast was sentenced to nine years in prison for the three gas-station robberies he committed in Palm Coast last July, supposedly because a man he owed money to made him do it while threatening to do harm to Kinney and his mother. Judge J. David Walsh did not believe Kinney’s story.

Leroy Rashad Gadson is–was–a resident of 106 East Short Street in Bunnell. He will be a ward of the Florida prison system for the rest of his life following his conviction Friday on a second-degree murder charge and an armed robbery charge, and his sentencing to life in prison, plus 30 years.

Sharps Liquor in the Flagler Plaza shopping center in Palm Coast was robbed at 11:17 Friday morning, again with a firearm involved, and on a busy shopping day. No one was hurt.

Police are looking for two black men in their early 30s after the afternoon robbery of Sharps Liquor at Flagler Plaza on State Road 100, less than a year after the same store was the target of an armed robbery. The video released Wednesday shows both suspects.

The armed robbery at Microtel a little after 3 a.m. Monday is the second armed robbery in a 1-mile radius in six days. Last week, a resident of the Woodlands was robbed at gunpoint while walking nearby.

Michael Cona, 28, and his brother Shawn, 30, of 48 Fischer Lane in Palm Coast, were charged with the June 22 armed robbery, which was witnessed by 14 people, including an 82-year-old woman.

At least two robbers were involved in the 2:57 p.m. heist at Hancock Bank near Publix. They got away with money, It’s not known how much. No one was hurt.
