Christina Connors, 2011 Employee of the Year: Rymfire Elementary
FlaglerLive | January 13, 2011
I am the Bookkeeper at Rymfire Elementary School. I am originally from Ridgefield Par, N.J. I graduated from RP High School and took some college courses at Bergen Community College. I have been married for 19 years to my husband Ken and we have one gorgeous son named Sean. When we moved to Florida 16 years ago, I was hired by Flagler Palm Coast High School as the guidance secretary. Then my 15 year journey began. I moved to Wadsworth as the guidance secretary and then bookkeeper. I was Wadsworth’s Employee of the Year in 2003. Now I am currently at Rymfire Elementary School as the Bookkeeper. There’s never a dull day. I start my day off by running the school store, and it’s so much fun to talk to with students. Any kindergarten student will brighten up your day no matter what mood you’re in.
I have the pleasure of working with a great principal, Paula St. Francis, and a great team of staff and teachers. I also work closely with all departments in our county office. I am responsible for all assets of bookkeeper and purchasing for our school. I run a cookie dough fundraiser every year. I enjoy my position at Rymfire Elementary School and am very honored to be chosen Employee of the Year.
